Lycett or Lycetts?
My 47 G80 has an old single Lycett seat with a name plate badge on the rear of the saddle, which says "Lycetts". Does anyone know why all the new Lycett single M/C seats have a "Lycett" badge (without the S)? Is the badge with the "S" a pre war/ early post war badge and when did they drop the "S"?
I dunno man - I only just got here meself!

Re: Lycett or Lycetts?
Pre war and post war literature all refers to Lycett saddles, neither Lycetts. Could the Lycetts be copies trying not to offend copy write.

I've got a 1950s Raleigh pushbike that has a 'Lycetts' saddle. It measures 10" front to back and I imagine your saddle is larger than that. Cheers. Bruce.

I have not looked at my Saddles. Anyone got a saddle with Lycett badge on it?? If you search Lycett saddles all pic's seem to have Lycett badge. Maybe they used the name to Lycett's & Lycett

My 1946 G3 has a quite old looking badge that clearly says Lycetts.
