Original wirewound piston +20

Post by Dave T_LAPSED »

Hello everyone thinking of a rebore or with a broken/worn piston and good +20thou bore these are available

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1947-1955-Match ... HW&vxp=mtr

I fitted one and it's really quiet and doesn't burn the oil my previous worn Hepolite did. A good fix for 150$ I think. The photo looks a bit scruffy but the piston is in good condition for it's 50+yrs.

Hope this helps someone.

Keep the wheels turning, Dave.

His pic shows the wires rusty and piston a bit corroded, here's what I got

The rings are of course my own.
From what I read and saw previously I thought they were as rare as hens' teeth, he's got eight! They must be like buses!
