G80S POINTS REPLACEMENT
IS THERE A DIAGRAM OR BREAKDOWN WITH PICTURES OF THE REMOVAL OF THE POINTS FROM THE MAGNETO? iv'e viewed several videos but they don't look the same as mine (1953 g80s)

That's great. Same contact breaker as the Lucas post-war magdynamos, and the points are easily available.
Watch out for the thread on the fixed point - it's a bit fragile into the monkey metal, and often stripped or near-as. So can be the larger thread for the opening point up top, but less often. If the push-rod is chipped or broken at the base, also easily available and worth replacing, because you want a nice flat face on it to ensure clean points opening.
