Contact breaker points.

Post by Pharisee »

I need a set of contact breaker points for a '60 M18 (coil ignition / alternator). The part number is 420196(P) but AMOC Spares don't have any. Would anyone know if they were used in any other application... car or bike?

Cheers
John

I may be wrong but I think they are the same as early landrovers, Lucas 420196 B1353 still NOS and period pattern parts about, look on e-bay.

Once you start looking into it, there are numerous suppliers.
I bought a set of contact breakers and a new condenser on eBay for £12.90

EDIT... just realised that we've both bought the same items :)

These are generally in short supply with many outlets that list them being out of of volume stock - just small quantities.
The parts service have managed to track down a new supplier and they should be back in stock early next week (and at a lower price).
