Been a bit busy today. I reckon another two weeks should do it.

Wiring is now done. The gearbox doesn't leak! Cabling done. Just need to tidy a couple of bits up and this time next week should be finished. I tried the exhaust on today and noticed that the tab on the pipe doesn't line up with the support. Anyone else had this problem? I feel I'm going to make another bracket!

Well she's all together now but I can't get the bu**er to start, only the occasional fart! Must be the timing so I'll re-set, try again then maybe throw a Thorspark on.

Edit. The wife said I can buy a Thorspark, so I did.

I'm timing at 1/2 BTDC fully advanced.

Looks lovely. Personally I prefer to use the magneto, more reliable than the dynamo, but I hope that all goes well for you.

So what news on starting?

Sorry, I've not updated on my woes but I was aware that I had many posts and threads on the same subject. The update is that I sent the Thorspark back and it is working fine according to the engineer. It should be back with me soon and I'm going to put it back on and test for any circuit problems. Also I'll be chucking a Bosch plug in instead of the Champion. I'll post again when it's sorted. Thanks for asking.

Yeh, heard that from Thorspark before. I sent one back for a K2F when I suddenly lost the spark for no reason. Was told it was fine on the test rig, when I tried it again on the bike, not a bloody thing!! All wires were soldered as per instructions etc, total waste of money and wouldn't recommend them. I had the mag refurbished by Brightsparks and all the troubles went away.
