Crank case Breather

I hope that this doesn't sound silly. I have a 18s the engine is a 1952 and the question is does the crankcase have a breather and where is it.

Left side of the engine in the crankcase behind the primary chain case. Its a bit tricky to get at. You often get a drip of oil or two from it after a run.
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is. ;)

The breather is the threaded port coming from the main bearing housing. There should be an adaptor screwed into it with a diaphragm on the engine side and usually a copper pipe and cap nut on the other. The pipe usually is bent and points down towards the ground.

Many thanks and sorry about the late reply.

Can confirm that the breather is not blocked. but i have found that the crankcase had about 2 cup fills of oil in it.
Any suggestions to why and what i can do about it please.
