I have found a really helpful company at shepton mallet auto jumble who is supplying LED lamps at extremely good prices and they work!, fantastic light output, I use them as side/parking lights for daytime riding and stop. Tail, prices are , for what your cost to convert to 12 volt, minimal, have a look at his web site, classic car led's

Can't help with whether it would fit as I've no experience with twins.

That company may be a distributor for the alternator manufactured by Alton, France, who have two distributors, in Italy; Florence and Bologna.

The Germans don't even say nothing about Alton products. I presume it is something else.... Maybe built in Poland. Alton generators have a dubious reputation

The early ones had trouble with the nylon driving gear wheel stripping and I think electrical issues but I understand that has been sorted. I have no reason to change from the standard dynamo, nor any connection with Alton but two pals have done many miles with Alton generators and are very pleased with them.

Any feedback about the conversion 6v to 12v with the original lucas dynamo? Which is the difference for E3L newer than 1957?
