AJS 18M kick start

Post by bunners »

Evening All
I am looking for a folding kick start lever for a B52 gear box, (This is not an advert) appreciate it if someone would kindly point me in the right direction. I can find loads for the AMC box but not the Burman. I have one on my G3L but cant remember where I got it.

Ted

Draganfly Motorcycles stock quite a range of Burman parts they may be able to help.

I believe there are two types Burman pt. no's G43-3 & G53-5 if I have managed to see the numbers correct. I think non folding is G43-2

Believe it or not I have found someone who makes folding kick starts for the Burman B52 gear box, they are not to original pattern but are the type as used on trials and moto X bikes, hinge at the bottom and not the top. and he only lives 2 miles from me. result. Terry Weedy is the name. 02380 613690. He also makes them for the AMC box & many others

For interested parties, see http://www.terryweedy.com/
I think he's also behind http://www.classickickstarts.com/

The Burman folding kickstarts must have come in very recently, as they were listed as 'Under Construction' when I checked about 2 weeks ago.
If you get one Bunners, I for one would be interested to hear how you get on with it (quality, appearance, price, etc).

Its on my wishlist to get one, but other more practical things come first :)

Peter
That is the same guy, picked it up yesterday, not cheap at £70 +p&p he was making it up for me when I got there, he does two types one for trials which has a greater clearance & one for scrambles. It don't look to bad but time will tell as to durability. It was a bit tight on the spline but ok when opened out slightly.
