1954 G3LS Speedo cable routing

Does the cable go along the bottom of the frame or along the top tube. Spares catalogue for the year quotes a clip and 2BA screw. There was one of these attached to the headstock, on the other hand there is a hole in the bottom yoke to accept a grommet (021799 in Jampot spares)

Alan. I'm surprised you didn't ask down the Fighting Cocks. On the '52 it goes along the top cause the speedo drive gearbox take off is on the top. The cable run on the bottom was used for the upside down gearbox
