Signs of a duff 6v battery??
When running the lights are good and go brighter when revving. But when engine is off there's no lights working at all. Could this be a duff battery that's not charging

Hi
Sounds like the battery is flat or the possibly the earth faulty. You need to measure the battery voltage or at least see if it will illuminate a bulb to progress.
Regards Mick

I had a similar problem on my G80S, due to inadequate earth. I now run separate earths to all main points - front and rear lights, Dynamo body to frame, engine to frame, all terminating to a lengthened bolt holding voltage regulator (not enough room to 3BA earth screw in frame stud) as well as earth from regulator and battery. Battery now charges perfectly and both my bikes have these all-round earths. Andy
