Going to overhaul the valves and wanting to know do I need the halfmoon spring compressor (p/n 014605) ?
I have the lever type but I can't get this to work and looking at this video the lower locating plate is different to mine.
Any advice please?

Re: valve springs removal.
Hi
Put your finger or a loop of strong twine through the coil and pull outwards sharply, the spring will come out. Fitting is possible without tooling too, (beburr the ends of the springs where they rub the protection plates ).
Regards Mick

Thanks Mick but the lower ends of the springs are inserted into a plate and I can't see pulling getting them out.

That's the earlier base fitting which needs the 'D' shaped tool.
