Rear sprocket

Is the dummy spindle for the 1955 sprocket (5 small pins) the same as the dummy spindle for the 5 large pins?
I,m looking to put the correct sprocket and hub on my 1957 G3 and replace the incorrect 1955 sprocket wanted to know if I need to get a replacement dummy spindle as well or if I can use the existing?.

The parts lists for '55 and '57 both quote the same part number for the dummy spindle... 021602.
