Release Valve

Post by chappers1962 »

Hi All, just need some advice.

Putting back together my 1956 G3LS. Question is found a steel spacer in the engine breather hole which houses the release valve (00836). The spacer doesn't show up on the Spares list for this valve, but does on the engine oil feed side (015528). Should it be there?

many thanks. When I took the valve off, it was held in on only 3 threaded, PFTE tape and silicon gasket glue. Cleaned everything up, put the valve/ new diaphragm in less the spacer. Tested the valve and it works perfectly.

Many thanks for the advice.
