G3LS 1955 - Type of exhaust pipe ?

Post by rudelan_LAPSED »

He misses on my Matchless G3LS (Dating: April 1955) Jampot, the complete exhaust.

On the catalog 1954 and 1955 the exhaust pipe is as follows:

Everywhere, I am offered the following model:

Finally, what should I put?

All repros seem to have short pipe with no baffle holes, the baffle being in the pipe. If it has a bracket instead of a stud, you need the bent flat steel fixing bracket. 54 had a different shape silencer than the one show in the parts pic's.

I purchased a Feked pipe for the G3 and later, in an effort to quiten it, one of their baffle tubes which effectively lengthens the pipe.

Quietend it down too. :)
