grease gun

Could anyone recommend which grease to use in my grease gun for using on the grease nipples, thanks mick.

I use 'multi-purpose' grease. Most manufacturers seem to have a grease described in this way.

All-purpose grease is fine everywhere except wheel bearings which should have a high melting point grease. Wheel bearings are best packed with grease using a finger-tip, obviously having first removed the wheel. Using the grease nipples on the wheel bearings is asking for trouble should the grease contaminate the brake linings.

.....indeed so, as there are no seals except a bit of felt washer to keep the grease away from the linings.............and you could (should you so wish) keep pumping grease into the headstock until the entire frame is filled :shock:
