Electric start?
Does anyone have any idea if an electric start was a factory option?
If not, any idea if this was an after-market kit or possibly adapted from a different bike?

I am guessing that you would need a much more powerful battery than the standard one. Cheers. Bruce.

Very interesting you tube clip, that's some engineering involved in the kit! I notice the clip was posted in 2012, I wonder how many sets of casings they cast? Very nice arrangement.

Top tip - if it needs more than 2 bolts to hold it on, its probably important...

This setup was featured in the Jampot several years ago, time to dust down those old copies and see who can be first to identify which one.
