Evening all,
The performance of the battery on my Matchless (with AJS 500 engine) has been dismal. I've finally had a look at the thing, it's almost lost in the carrier, marked 6N6-3B. I intend to replace it with an AGM battery, suggestions as to the largest size that will fit the carrier please!

The parts service stock a 13amp 6V AGM battery which will go inside a rubber battery box.

My 1956 G3LS does not have a battery box and I don't think others do either.
Chemists do it with test tubes

Road bikes don't you're quite correct but I was thinking comp bikes at the time, sorry. A battery box should still fit though but is an unnecessary expense.Merlin wrote:My 1956 G3LS does not have a battery box and I don't think others do either.

Thanks for the replies, I've spent some money at "Allbatteries" for the 6V 14AH battery
