Hi,
I'm struggling to understand how the oil tank vent / main chain oiler works (1955 16MS). Am I right in assuming the general agitating and buffering about of the oil, sends enough down the vent tube to lubricate the chain.

Hi
I think you'll find oil vapour / mist condenses in the feed tube and drips onto the chain.
