Motorcycle Mechanics December 1959

Post by nomisimon »

Hello again...hopefully I'm coming up as a 'member' now.

Does anyone have the copy of Motorcycle Mechanics from December 1959?...someone recently bought a copy on eBay.

I'm looking for a good quality scan of the Burman gearbox article; about 3 or 4 pages I believe.

It might be useful for the club too.

Can you help please?

Cheers

Simon

Don't know if this might help, not sure what 'box you want the info on, but here's one article to be going on with.

Burman here, most articles use artwork from Burman workshop manuals, plus more pictures.
The Matchlss W.D. manual is quite good for early postwar bikes. http://archives.jampot.dk/book/Owners_m ... Manual.pdf

Thanks...the one I wanted to look at was specifically the one from Motorcycle Mechanics, December 1959.

For reference, my box is a B52.

I think the ones shown here are in the club archive.

A few years ago I was able to buy an old copy of Motorcycle Mechanics through a Co. that dealt in back copies. It helped me with the rebuild of an Albion gearbox. A search on Google may help.

Thanks, I've tried Google without success...only the Ariel PDF which I can't access. I just missed a copy of the magazine on eBay and asked the seller to get the buyer to drop me a line...nothing so far.

A copy of this magazine has just appeared on eBay...and then disappeared because I bought it.

Hopefully the article is not the same as the others in the archive.

Anyway, I'll scan the article, create a PDF and share it with the club.

Thanks

I've now scanned the three pages and created a PDF of the article.

If anyone would like a copy, please get in touch.

I don't know how to post it to the archives...I sent a message to admin but no response yet.
