1960 G5 350cc Matchless Lightweight (single)
We're restoring the above in New Zealand. We would like to know what the original tank colour was - we think it was red, but have been told it could also be black. It's existing colour is red but not sure if original or not. Also browsing through some pictures posted, I see the side covers are also red and wonder if ours should be too (they are currently black). Can anyone offer any help or advice as to colour and colour number if possible? We want this as original as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1960 G5 - confirm that the tank and side panels are a fairly dark red - I was unable to find a colour number so took a sample piece to my local friendly paint suppliers who mixed an appropriate sample for me - Tank incidentally should be lined in silver
Best of luck
