Rear Wheel
1965 G2csr
Hi Guys- just a quick one...fitting the rear wheel ...there appears to be only one spacer- which side does it go ?... I would guess off-side- between the speedo drive and inner spindle nut ....

Re: Rear Wheel
Mike - do you have a copy of the factory spares list - there's a drawing of the rear wheel in there or the manual both of which are free to download and print off thru the club archives.
Now on the speedo side there are two spacers 1/2" deep - 043286, one goes inside the speedo drive and the other on the outside and then a lock nut. On the sprocket side there is a spacer 0.716 deep that goes up against the bearing, then an 0.080" washer 043306, the back plate and another 0.080" washer and finally another locknut which are 0.436 deep.
Hope this helps

There are 2 wheels, the one with the sprocket is the rear.

Re: Rear Wheel
I am not aware you can download parts lists etc. from the club archives. You need to go to Christians Archives, www.archives.jampot.dk
If you cannot find what you seek I may have it & could send a PDF file. Although most of what I have is in the archives. That includes all know to exist prewar AJS & Matchless literature. I do not have all the shorter post war years literature.

You can download a copy of my 1960 light weigh Instruction book here. It may not be the correct year for your bike. You may find the correct year in the archives I gave a link for.
