Cheers everyone. I'll have a go at fabricating it myself as DODGER suggested. There's a company on eBay that apparently do all ajs seat covers to a good standard so I'll give them a try.

I think I may have a earlier seat pan and original foam in good condition . It came with a job lot of parts and appears to have the correct spacings for the rear mounting captive nuts and mountings underneath for a tyre pump but is too long for my M14 so may be what you are looking for . PM me if interested and will send some photos re possible trade ?

Did the earlier models come with blue piping on the seat were as the 1960s onwards were white

Hi Lee,

I've just bought a '62 which has completely the wrong seat bodged on to it - if yours becomes surplus to requirements then could you let me know if you'd consider selling it as hopefully it mught fit my G2 (pre-CSR)
