Thanks Ozmadman - the "1965 Models Only" section at the bottom confirms that the late CSRs did have the ratios shown in the F Neill manual.
I wonder why those gears aren't identified in the 1965/66 parts list?

Hi I have a 196 250 CSR, seems all your questions have been answered. I have a problem with clutch and have measured the push rod at 10 1/4" Can you measure yours and see if it is the same length as I feel it coul be too long

The rod in my spare gearbox is 9.9"
I haven't tested it, so I can't confirm if this is the correct length.

Did you find out the correct length of the clutch rod?

From what, I've been able to find out, there appear to be two clutch rods:
042208 9.9" long, fitted to G2 or Model 14 up to 1961
042725 10.1" long, fitted to all other models (CS, G5, Model 8, CSR, G2 & Model 14 1962-)

Hopefully the above is correct. Can anyone confirm?
