The rear units on my "scramblered" lightweight are clearly replacement parts and unfortunately too short since with a pillion on the back the rear mudguard contacts the tyre even at a stand still long before hitting the bump stops (if there are any).
From searching the forum I've found various reccomendations to get in touch with Neil Lynn for replacements but can't find his details either online or in the mag.
Do you any of you helpful forum members know of a source for replacements, or failing that a suitable alternate that could be made to work, or failing even that the appropriate length and spring weight?
Ben

Neil Lynn died a few years ago. I do believe the club spares dept. sell replacements.

Re: Lightweight rear suspension units
Hi Ben,
I looked in to this when I thought my rear suspension units were knackered (they weren't and restored just fine...)
The problem you will have is finding some that are a) long enough and b) narrow enough at the bottom to clear the chain.
I did find some reasonably-priced scrambler-style units that looked like they might fit. More info here:

Good luck!

Re: Lightweight rear suspension units
Thank you all!
Those Betor MX shocks from Bike Revival do indeed look like they'd suit a CS pretty well. Might well be the answer.
