Re: Oil Drain screws
One is to drain the internal oil tank, the other is for the crankcase.
And yes, get yourself a manual & parts list from from the archives.

Hi
Got this. Its even better on Cristians archive, cos you can blow it up real big.
Found the bit 042201 and washer, and now i know what both drain screws do, im a happy bunny, thanks for your help. These engines dont seem such a nightmare as we are often told (watch this space)!

Hi Alan
If I were you I would go back to your original post and delete the phone number or you will be plagued with dodgy calls.

I stand to be corrected but I was told to never enter personal details, phone numbers, real names, email addresses, frame numbers, engine numbers etc on an open forum. Once it is out there it is there it is there forever and viewable by the whole world. That is why we have the PM facility on the forum and user names.poplargreg wrote:I think that's a bit of an urban mythJimFitz wrote:Hi Alan

Re: Oil Drain screws
Origional post amended, thanks everybody for that. Cant have everybody knowing i have a lightweight.
Have found the long oil drain screw. Whoever took the bike to bits, did a good job, everything has been put into plastic bags of small groups of parts/bolts sets.
Having fun so far.
Another question. Why would they have brazed a shortened tyre lever to the underside of the engine cradle, cross ways?
