You got me thinking now.............maybe your frame is/was a CS frame fitted with the smaller tank and had a different fixing at the rear.

I don't think they produced CS's in 1958, the year this frame was manufactured, also the dating letter I have from Roy Bellet makes no mention of it being a CS.

The pictures looked OK when I first posted them, just the 58 bike shot a bit blurred as I forgot the macro setting. Why they look so large now is a mystery to me.

Whats going on ??????? my pictures have gone back small again, perhaps the plus button got hit and made them big and they stayed big????
lets se happens with this pic. its my 1966 G2 CSR pic which has the same bracket as my 1958 G2. Heres the pic how I see here now.

the petrol tank fitting on the frame is for a 58 59 model year the frame no is in the region of the 1200,s which is the early model i am putting my early tank on a later frame by sleaveing and tapping the mount in the frame
