In the spares which came with my M14 was the piston shown below. i don't need it as my bike have receipts for a rebore and a 70.5mm piston. This one seems to be 69.6mm approx and does not seem to have had much use so why it was replaced is a mystery. It is stamped 043646 which is of the form for an AMC lightweight part number but does not appear in my spares book.
If its of an use to anyone on the forum it can be had for the cost of the postage or collected from BA14 7QS. Of course if you had a gearbox top cover for a G5 (believe G2 type can be made to fit) that would be a bonus.

Re: Piston for G2/M14
Hi
Your measured diameter suggests that it is a standard piston. I have a hard to read supplemental parts list for the later 250's and it looks as if 043646 is a std piston for a 1965/1966 250 CSR. This would also be supoerted by the bigger vlave cutaways than on my standard lower compression G2.
I guess these must be hard to find now so i imagine it would be very helpful for someone.
cheers

Bear out this as it looks like the one that was in my 14 CSR 1966.
