Hello Colin,
With reference to BG 6639, do you have an original logbook?? 'BG' and 'CM' were Birkenhead registration letters, and it would be interesting to know the dealer who sold the bike in the first place. My own G11 of 1958 is registered 'GBG', First sold by Messrs. Bob Simister in Rock Ferry, Birkenhead.

Hi Malcolm, I have the brown logbook but it's a continuation book and the only info it contains are the two Llanelli owners from 1950 to 1957, it spent the next fifty odd years in a damp shed until I came upon it, before that is a mystery, shame really I would like to know a little more about it.

Years ago when I was between marriages I kept my BSA in the lounge. Its wonderful, warm, handy for heating parts on the stove, cleaning things in the sink, making cups of tea etc. If the world were run by men there would be far less kitchen/diners and more kitchen/garages.

Until a year ago I had two bikes in the living room, two in the hallway and one in large pieces upstairs. Some bits are under the bed, others in the wardrobe.

Occasionally, I let Glyn bring an odd small part from one of his into the house but, in true male tradition, he has a shed to play in.
