Post by Rusty bits »

Don't forget, Sussex section are hosting an Autojumble at their club meet - on Sunday 21st October 10am to 2pm - At the Thatched Inn, Ockley Lane, Keymer.

Speak to Dick Somers on 01903 523849 if you want a stand at the bargain price of £5 or turn up and check it out, no entrance fee.

Try Edwards Bacon Baps and Coffee while you are there.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Hey I might even be there myself. I just might be around at that time . You will easily identify me as my body guard will be wearing a white rose in his lapel.

Why do I feel like a second class citizen when satellite navigation is mentioned?

probably because you are among the few of us than can read an ordnance survey map, and give a map reference.
This means you will not be reported on the tele for driving into a river, a resevoir or someones drive. Nor will you wreak havoc by driving a 40ton artic into a village where you getstuck at the first tight bend unable to go back or forwards.
technology is wonderful, except when it does something expensively and badly when it can be done simply and cheaply, thats when its just BS, not technology.

your right there somtimes it does get it wrong!
however most of the time it is realy usefull

I have no idea where Keymer in sussex is
the sat nav will take me straight there
just on the post code,
It takes out a fair bit of stress
when you don't have to stop to navigate! Safer too

cheers b-o-n

I have never been lost yet, even without Sat Nav - though sometimes I don't know where I actually am at some particular moment in time!
