Just in case the owner of this motorcycle (or someone who knows the owner) is a club member; I have just acquired the original Buff Log Book for this motorcycle.
It is a 1959 AFS Matchless G3 and according to the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry website it is currently on SORN and out there somewhere and now painted black, but it still has it's original registration number.
The owner may not know the significance of his registration number and the fact that it is an ex-AFS Matchless.
If the owner gets in touch with me (and proves ownership, of course) I will see that the Log Book is reunited with the motorcycle, along with it's AFS history.
