G11 321 RRF G80 GL 9511

Post by volksrod »

Hi All
On a bit of a wild goose chase here,I sold these two bikes on behalf of my father in the late eighties to a chap in top valley, nottingham and having just started the restoration of our 1924 raleigh, think I may have let one or two bits slip into the parts I let go with said machines. :?
The parts I'm sure went that way are the rear carrier and clutch primary sprocket. As I said a wild goose chase, and having received a phone call from the south yorkshire serious crime squad concerning GL 9511 many years ago,I'm sure it's all spread around but I live in hopes.
I'd appreciate any help in getting our raleigh up and running.it's been in the family from new and off the road since '33,so it's about time to get it done ;)
Regards Stuart Hopewell

I have an early 20's Raleigh, red rust and in many bits, but I believe everything is there. I might be able to help with my parts as a pattern for anything you need re manufactured.

Rob,yes you are correct on both dates, they were in the family for quite awhile. My parents honeymooned down the Rhine on the G80 and I was taken too school regularly on the G11.
Colin, thanks for your kind offer. I am at the early stages of this project and if all else fails I definately be in touch
