twin camshaft

I have a set camshafts for a twin, they are marked with a SS,does anyone know what type of engine they were made for, they looks a little bit hot.

Hi Poul, I didn't know the answer to this myself, but in our section are several members who worked at Plumstead to the bitter end, They are of the opinion that they are part of the race kit for the CSR models, probably 1960/61
