Someone here building a SW motor had the same trouble finding info. Its basically 7R internals in pushrod cases.
There is a pushrod 350 Norton in Classic racing here that is faster than the manxes, so is quite possible to make them go fast. About all I know, but the downdraft offset inlet port is important...
hopethishelps,
Rohan.

Shelesley Walsh Info
Hi Bernard,
Ross Pentecost wrote a good article on the SW which was published in the latest (April 2001) issue of 'Bore & Stroke', the newsletter of the Matchless & AJS Enthusiast Group of Australia. If you like to give me your postal address I'll photocopy it and post it to you if you wish.
