B52 clutch race 12-10-2

Post by uktom77 »

Evening all,

Am I missing something (quite possible) or is the clutch bearing race (12-10-2) become unobtainium?

Neither the spares scheme or AMC classic are listing it. Is it one of those parts that's either the same as another or has been replaced....?

Anybody got any idea?

Thanks. Les is next on the hit list but as he isn't online (as such) and contacting him (for me anyway) generally involves a fax, I wondered if the part had been superseded.

It's my understanding that the club had some of these made up recently but the dimensions of the finished product were not quite correct. I think they're either being re-made of re-machined. I'm sure someone will be able to confirm later....

Correct Eamonn, it was a case of crossed wires and the manufacturers mixing up the parts and numbers. I've sorted it all out and they are due to be made early next year. Would have been sooner if the rep hadn't been in contact with covid carrier.
