Hi
I'm rebuilding an AMC gearbox post strip down and inspection which will be installed in a G15CSR so I wish to 'reverse' the gearchange mode by fitting a reversed camplate.
There does not seem to be any means, (other than an interference fit), of retaining the shaft in the camplate.
Before I do anything I may regret during the application of sound engineering practice , can anyone advise of any pitfalls to be avoided when swapping the camplates?
Regards Mick

Re: AMC Gearbox Camplate Shaft
Hi Mick.
The application of sound engineering practice would be "hit it with a big 'ammer"
Seriously, I have never changed one so other than the new camplate being a loose fit (easily fixed with a few tack welds) I can't think of any pitfalls.
Kind regards Colin
