What am I doing wrong?
I cleaned up the hub, fitted a new oil seal, screwed the adjusting nut in then back half a turn, then refitted it. All OK till I tighten up main spindle then the speedo gearbox turns with the wheel.
I,ve checked everything several times but the only item I cant see is a circlip mentioned in parts list. Is the circlip relevant to a 1961 model?
Anyone got any thoughts?
Bill

Hi
Have you tightened the speedo gearbox retaining nut AFTER you have secured the spindle in the swinging arm?
Regards Mick

hi all who answered my call for help. Mick D hit the nail on the head re tightening the speedo drive after the main spindle.
I do wish I had had that sectioned view before. It did in fact get all the bits in, and in the right order, but the picture makes it so much clearer,
Nany thanks once again for your help.
