Hi, I am rebuilding a 1961 ALS 350cc fitted with alloy chain cases.
The gasket set has two 1/8" thick cork gaskets, first one 11/4"id and 13/4" od, and the other is 15/8" id and 2" od.
I can't see where these should be fitted, Behind the inner case or where else. There was nothing there when it was stripped down.
Can anyone help or show a diagram.
Bill

Re: chain case gaskets
One might be for an inspection cap but there would be 2 of them. I usually fit 'O' rings anyway. I've a drawer full of cork gasket rings, odd fibre washers and other useless stuff left over from gasket sets over the years!

Re: chain case gaskets
Hi
One might fit the oil tank cap - be unusual for it to be supplied as part of a gasket set though.
Regards Mick
