I've discovered that the rubber bushes in the bottom pivot of the LH rear Girling on my 1960 twin are disintegrating. Both top pivots and the RH side are fine, so I'm guessing it's years of contamination from the rear chain?
Can anyone confirm that the neoprene pivot bushes 023485 x 4 (to do both sides) are the ones I need? As a matter of interest, does anyone know why rubber top bushes are available, but only neoprene lowers? Is it because they have a harder life?
Thanks,
Malc

Re: Girling rear shocks
oil tends to get to the bottom ones, is neoprene more resistant?
