Speedo problem

Post by MalcW »

Hi, A couple of days ago I took the bike out for a quick test ride. The speedo is a new unit fitted by a previous owner - it is in very nice condition and only had 4 miles on it. It only has 55 now. Unfortunately at some point when I came to a stop the needle somehow got trapped behind the dial screw at the top RH side of the dial. When I pulled away the needle started to try and turn but couldn't, so ended up being stuck, bent at 30 degrees or so. I've managed to straighten it out pivot to tip-wise, but it has a twist in it that I'm reluctant to fiddle with in case it snaps. Whether the speedo mechanism still works remains to be seen.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement needle in the UK? I've seen a couple on line, but in the US.

Thanks,

Malc

If its an Indian made speedo, you probably need an Indian made speedo needle.
