Burman CP oil seal carrier

Post by hatrack »

I have the modern oil seal to fit in the drive gear of a CP gearbox, but nobody seems to currently stock the "carrier" ring to mount it in.
Does anybody know a supplier who has them in stock?
Or can supply a sketch with the vital dimesions, so that I can get one made.

Have you tried Draganfly Motorcycles?
See their CP spare parts list here:

I have had several parts from Draganfly, and they are good. But they are one of the possible suppliers who have no stock at present.

It would help if you mentioned who you've already contacted.

AMC Classic Spares are closed until Monday. Its not been a good time of year for contactin suppliers!
The Club Spares scheme lists it as unavailable and Andrew Engineering lists the seal but not the carrier, as a B52 part.

Russell Motors have been going 50+ years and usually have a range of CP parts.
Les, the owner is nearing/considering retirement so it can be a bit hit 'n miss to find him open and answering the phone.
Phone or Fax only, no email.

Yes I have been trying Russell spares, even before the holiday, nobody answering the phone. Would they stock the modern oil seal conversion parts?

Hi Hatrack, if it is the same as that for the later B52, I have a stripped box in the garage and can measure it easily. Let me know by this means or PM. Cheers, Andy
