Gearbox identification
Hi i have aquired two Burman gearboxes one is stamped 9 c p b 26915 the other is G1c47 are these both Matchless or Ajs are they the same as a 1941 WD G3L . Thks

Hi Dave thanks for that , it explains the second box i.e AJS 350 Model 16 , but not the second 9CPB

Is 9cbp correct? 8cpb was used late 1930's and most WD bikes I am aware of. Just guessing, perhaps 9cpb is late 40's or another marque.

Yes definitely 9 CPB plus five figure number
