If you want to gear up just increase the final drive sprocket. Burman not available from the club, but are from Draganfly Motors
who speacialise in Ariel parts

Up the gearbox sprocket to 17th. Club stock them, I've done the same to a 55 500cc Mod 20 as I found the original 16th sprocket too buzzy.

I did the same on my G11 special before the trip to Poland this year but made sure that the dynamo was in tip top condition for the increase speed and the bearings were good.

Oh ha ha very funny! The dynamo has been fine for 1000's miles it was just one of those things.
