The post regards malt vinegar is spot on, I did my tank with this method, went to local chippy bought 10 litres of the vinegar I think it's 16/1 concentrate powerful stuff , they dilute it with water, but by he'll it shifts the crap in your tank, I filled it just under full and turned
The tank every few days then drained and sieved kept repeating till inside was rust free, but beware it will find pin holes, I know From
