Please can I borrow?

Post by JohnHewes »

I need to helicoil one hole to 3/8" x 26tpi, and a kit of parts is available but costs over £40.
Does anyone have a kit I could borrow, please, and one helicoil , I am happy to pay any costs involved?
Thanks in anticipation, John

Thanks for your replies, gents. It is actually for the bottom fixing of the propstand on my Velo MAC.
Mine has been stripped and a nut and bolt used, it still works like that but I would like a "proper" job.
Cheers

John, I spoke with my chum unfortunately he does not have one your size, however he tells me he obtained a kit, albeit M8, from ebay for less than a tenner so may be worth a look, secondly what about the local Velo club members, I am sec for our local group which consists of a good many engineers and they normally have something to help. kind regards
try eb no 122306363906, 'tis an online shop but he may do imperial threads
