Re: G2 CSR Tyre pressures ?
I would go for higher pressure with modern tyres.

Re: G2 CSR Tyre pressures ?
I use 26 front, 29 rear, more with a full load.
I have Avon Speedmaster/Safety Mileage tyres on my G2. From the Avon website.

What pressures should I use on my classic bike?
Due to the modern materials used in the construction of these tyres, we normally recommend 25-28 psi front and 28-34 psi rear.

Morning Rob, Clive, Janet
Thank you for the advice. I was obviously not looking in the right place!
Just checked and I have an Avon speedmaster mk2 on the front and a somewhat dubious Cheng Shin on the back.
Both look in good nick
Well Happy Easter to you all and thanks again

Re: G2 CSR Tyre pressures ?
The general advice from Vintage Tyres is to run at 28 psi on new tyres as they're more supple on the side walls than the originals also the rubber is of a stickier compound.

Re: G2 CSR Tyre pressures ?
Tyres fitted today do not seem to have walls like the old did. So they look and feel flat using the old recommended pressures. I use 25/28 as there's usually two of us on the bike. ( We equal one heavyweight rider. ) I do notice, if too hard, riding solo, I have lost grip on the road.
