Torque settings for a Matchless G3L

Could anyone help me with what the torque are settings,for the head nuts on my 1944 Matchless G3L?

Grandad told me dad, who told me, that the correct spanner was the correct length to provide the correct torque, without using "extensions".Works for me.

Hi Martin

This probably won't help much but I have a note on my workshop wall that the head bolts on my 1957 G80 should be 36 lbft. So we're looking at bolts as opposed to nuts - and a later larger cc machine. But perhaps it will give you some idea of a ball park figure?

Thanks for the advice......I was thinking it was something in the region of 36lbft.......I just wasn't sure
