I dont hate them, but all i've heard since i was at school is people harpin on Triumphs this Triumphs that. Every magazine is full of em, and there making em again so we've got to go through all the same rose tinted spectacles, best thing since sliced bread, the real deal stuff again.
I'll finish with what I really believe, and that is that the Triumph speed twin was probably the most important ground breaking motorcycle ever built.
Triumphs built for a long time The best motor cycles in the world.
There thats it from me now can we talk about SE 18 products or the prices of elephant eggs in Outer mongolia.

Triumphs are plugged by the press because they bring advertising revenue. [much needed seeing how all the titles seem to be under one roof]
They are also the preferred choice of many of the poser custom bobber chopper type of rider who these magazines are mostly aimed at, even the so called "classic ones"
However the mature sensible rider who wants a solid reliable easy to maintain and economical old bike chooses AMC products which as we know are far more reliable than a buggered about T******H
meanwhile elephants eggs are on ebay

Nail on the head mate, Brits were / are to easy to take to bits
ITMA was yer something to do with the Met Police Trails Team? My mates dad was something to do with them. I believe he still has his Cheney Trumpet
BSA now yer talking I'd love a late oil in the frame 650 Egg but the prices are catching up with Trumpets. It would fit great between the G3 (Mr Shiny) and the Hinkley Thruxton (Mr Noisy) but what would I call it? Mr Egg (I could go to work on an egg then) LOL
