Strip down pictures
Hi all
When I stripped my 1960 model 14 I photographed every stage, unfortunately I mistakenly deleted about half of the portfolio. Does ayone have a pictoral record of a strip down?

Re: Strip down pictures
I think one member has Youtube videos on specific areas.
Do you mean of the engine? If so here's an illustrated engine strip article from Christians Archive:

Several more articles if you browse here:

5/6 years recent then , some of mine have been 15+ years and i usually remember where i left all the parts in the garage (not always though)
i found that going through boxes and bagging up into parts helps refresh your memory , then you only get left with a small pile of parts that you have to think about

Re: Strip down pictures
You didn't say how much of the bike you stripped down but, if it's any help, I have a photo of my gearbox with almost all the parts dismantled.
I only wanted to replace the kick-start spring. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Hooray. I have found the lost photo's on an old backup disc so thanks for your help but I think I am OK now. Got the frame back from the shot blasters today looking great in it's powder coated black.

Re: Strip down pictures
Sorry to be so dilatory. The pictures I still need are the mounting of the tin ware i.e. chain case, tool box battery case etc basically anything that bolts to the frame some pictures of the foot peg mountings including the spacers would be handy as well. I thought I had found all my strip down photos but I could only recover about half of them, so I still need any photos of the frame and and how parts are mounted on it.
Thank all
P.S. i'm not sure how PM's work

Re: Strip down pictures
Hi,
I did exactly the same thing ! Lol. I can take whatever pictures you want as I'm just loose fitting mine together again.
However I would highly recommend getting hold of the amazing work Jay did to catalogue all the fittings on a 14 / 2 together with a lot of technical drawings showing how it bolts together.
For anyone restoring or working on a G2 / 14 this is a superb bit of research.
