Reading n ° 141 (January 64) of " AMOC Monthly news gazette", page 16, "Dealers diary" by Joe, I learned that a M18 owner from 1954 had just changed his first control cable after 10 years ! In 75.000 Miles he replaced nothing, except tyres, 1 rear chain, and oïl every 2 000 miles. At this stage, the engine had a major overhaul, and the owner, Ron, changed to a "graphited dual viscosity oïl" wich he had used ever since, and "has now covered a further 100.000 miles...Engine and geabox were "as gold as gold"... no oïl consumption, no leaks...
If you don't believe me, read # 141, an see by yourself !
