Interesting that the DOT man should say that. One of the three is Bill Barugh wearing the very distinctive beehive helmet that has been on every picture I have seen of him. More detective work needed ! Does the family have a picture of Reg as a young man ? The caption doesn't identify the three in order.

Check the first post for the image of him leaning on his rigid 16mc. I have had a few more emails with the chap today and turns out he was mentioned 12 times in the DOT history book! so i have ordered one to be sent sent out to me.

I've got the British Scramblers book on order too. Do you already have a copy of it, or does somebody on here already? Patience is a virture but it would be nice to see the picture you are referencing.

Sorry, I didn't look back at that picture. I would say it is certain that Reg is the one on the right of the three. Bill Barugh on the left, Jack Cliffe centre, Reg Pilling on the right (from the camera view).
Yes I'd have a copy. I can make a photo and email it ? Tried to put them on here before with no success.

I used the "My Heritage.com" genealogy website to enhance and colourise the photo, attached are the results.

That's amazing ! And I have difficulty just getting a photo small enough to post. Every time I get a system that works either Microsoft or Paint or the Mail system change something.
